Ways to get involved
The Rooftop Garden Project is fueled by the energy and enthusiasm of our community members. We help bring your imagination to life, and make your visions of climbing beans on balconies, lettuces on the patio, or tomatoes growing on rooftops a reality. We invite you to get involved in greening our community and growing food in Montreal.

With the help of our Ready-to-Grow kits and our Guide to Setting up Your Own Edible Rooftop Gardenyou can then apply the skills you learn in our gardens to your very own living space, be it a balcony, windowsill, staircase, or rooftop.

If you are a youth with an interest in urban agriculture abroad, you may want to consider participating in one of Alternatives international internships .

Our regular gardening sessions are open to everyone, expert or novice. Sessions are led by our friendly garden coordinators. Come garden with us during the following times:

Santropol Roulant's Edible Campus Garden ,

Where? On McGill's Lower Campus in front of the Burnside Building, 805 Sherbrooke St. West

Mondays 10:30-1:30pm
Wensday 4-7pm
Saturdays 10:30-1:30pm (starting in june)

Produce from this garden is given to the Santropol Roulant's meals-on-wheels kitchen. For more information on this garden please contact Tim at : green@santropolroulant.org.
